Grassburs

Grassburs only grow in poor soil. The best approach to controlling this weed is to attack it before it germinates through the use of humic acid and corn gluten meal.

  • In late February or early March, apply corn gluten meal at 20 pounds per 1,000 square feet.
  • In early spring, apply humate to the infested area and water in if there is no rainfall. Use 6-15 pounds per 1,000 square foot or 300 pounds per acre. Humate can be found in most garden shops.
